Extremely rare octagonal red tortoiseshell tea caddy with ivory edging and a silver escutcheon. The interior of this caddy has a bone handled lid and has traces of its original tin lining. The tea caddy was awarded an Interior Designer's Choice Award for 'House & Garden' in association with the BADA Fair, chosen by Martin Hulbert for its "colour, simplicity, good with contemporary items."
