England
circa 1785
A George III Sheraton plum pudding mahogany card table, cross-banded with kingwood and boxwood stringing and then a larger band of cross-banding with the finest West Indian satinwood and ebony stringing, with a final banding of kingwood with boxwood stringing. The plum pudding mahogany frieze is cross-banded with kingwood and boxwood stringing standing on solid mahogany tapered legs terminating on spade feet. The card table is a really fine piece of 18th century antique furniture and the rarity of the table is in the size, a real asset.
