England
circa 1850
The striking rosewood veneers are very vibrant producing a table of high quality. The solid rosewood ring-turned gate legs and end supports are fitted with the original gilt-brass castors.
Great colour and condition
This is unusual for a table of this period as the majority of Sutherland tables are made in walnut and carry brass toes and porcelain wheels. This rosewood example is certainly an early prototype
