English

circa 1805 - 1815

Early 19th century period High Regency simulated calamander bookcase display cabinet.

The double moulded cornice sits above a centralised gilt ormolu plaque. The ornate plaque is flanked with rosettes above a pair of glazed doors and turned columns.

The cupboard doors open to reveal 3 fitted shelves in full simulation and are original to the cabinet.

The slender top sits on a low waisted base with rounded corners and turned and tapered column supports. The glazed doors to the base sit below two short oak lined drawers with a single fitted simulated shelf to the cupboard.

The cabinet is raised on solid turned faux calamander feet and is original throughout.
