The crisply carved leaf-decorated cornice with a criss-cross border and balls is flanked by strong Roman style capitols and boldly carved oak leaves. The Roman god of wine, 'Baccus', is carved below on simulated bamboo columns terminating in unusual leaf decorated bases.
