The pair of Victorian brass extending oil lamps have pressed brass reservoir lion masks and foliate down-swept scroll triform supports on lion paw feet. The lamps were made by Messenger of Birmingham and retailed by E K Wilson, Sussex Place, London. The lampshades are newly handmade in silk by the maker who provides the shades for Downton Abbey. The lamps have been rewired with authentic corded flex, fitted with either foot switch or finger clicker switch and are PAT tested. The height is adjustable.
