The dentil cornice to the top of the bookcases is above a flamed mahogany veneered frieze that stands above a classical Georgian astragal glazed design. The bookcases have four adjustable shelves. The pedestal bases have oak lined drawers with later replaced swan neck handles to the centre, either side of the centre drawer stands two panelled doors concealing a single original drawer to each pedestal with the original brass swan neck handles and a single conceal shelf above. The bookcases sit on mahogany veneered plinth bases.
