circa 1850
In the neo-rococo style, the chairs have been crisply carved, and are now beautifully upholstered, using the original stuffing and retaining their original gilt brass castors. These chairs have been made as a Left and Right Pair. NB The eminent firm of Holland & Sons were at 19 Marylebone Street, London, in 1843 and moved to Mount Street in 1852 and supplied much of the important furniture for Osborne House, Queen Victoria’s house on the Isle of Wight.
