A elegant early 19th century Regency period breakfront landscape overmantel mirror of compact proportions, in a carved giltwood and composite frame. The triple overmantel mirror is flanked with crisply carved corinthian columns and acanthus leaf decoration. The oval-shaped patarae that are fitted above and below the columns are composite carvings as are the rows of fine gold beads that separate the three mirror plates. The overmantel mirror is fitted with the highest quality of fine Verre Églomisé panels.
The mirror retains the label reading 'Bought 19.05.1979 for £380.00 from MacHumble Antiques, c. 1810, 11 Queen Street, Bath, BA1 2JA. Regency Period Landscape Mirror with Verre Eglomise panel, c. 1810'
