A Georgian inlaid mahogany and satinwood bonded sofa table from the late 18th or early 19th century. The well-figured mahogany top is cross-banded in West Indian satinwood with 'D' end sides. The cross-banded top is inlaid with ebony and boxwood stringing above two full length drawers to the front and two faux drawers to the reverse. The oak lined drawers are fitted with brass turned handles with satinwood lozenge shaped inlays and ebony and boxwood stringing to the drawer fronts. The drawer frieze is flanked with satinwood panels and further ebony and boxwood stringing. The sofa table is raised on mahogany and satinwood inlaid trestle end supports and inlaid outstretched legs that terminate on the original brass capped castors.
