The rosewood veneered swivel brass-strung top sits above a brass inlaid frieze with a brass inlaid centre piece. The pedestal has a faceted design that stands on a rosewood platform and four outswept elegant legs that sit on the original brass caps and castors. The table is almost certainly the work of Gillows of Lancaster and is decorated throughout with brass stringing.
