The frieze is inlaid with ebony decoration to all four sides with a rectangular mahogany top, that is cross-banded with ebony stringing and sits on elegant trestle end supports that are very much in the style of Thomas Hope, or certainly influenced from his designs. The trestle end supports rest on mahogany veneered plinths and sit on ebonised bun feet.
