Both plates with gently bevelled edge detail , the plates being divided by a thin gilded bar. The larger rectangular plate with some atmospheric 'foxing' and aging .
Raised carved wood and gesso decoration to the frame , with a central shell or stylised 'fleur de lys' type motif to the shaped cresting and the back retains the original oak panel board.
