The simulated rosewood chaise tongue is fitted with finely cast mounts to the front and a few to the reverse. The seat has recently been re-upholstered in a creamy/gold fabric. The seat edging is completely crossbandded in tulipwood. The scrolled ends sit on outswept sabre legs and terminate on the original fine gilded gilt brass caps and castors.

NB Simulated rosewood when adorned with fine mounts was a style of high furniture Prince Regent encouraged and fashioned.
