Fine George III Hepplewhite bow-fronted mahogany and satinwood inlaid dressing chest.
The flamed mahogany top is crossbanded in West Indian satinwood with double chequered bandings with an outer kingwood banding. The four graduated drawers are flame veneered and chequer banded and carry the original gilt brass handles, locks and escutcheons. The top drawer is fully fitted with compartments, dividers and a dressing mirror. The drawers are flanked with satinwood panels and tulipwood bandings. The sides of the chest are panelled with large satinwood ovals and flamed mahogany veneers. The chest stands on ‘French’ Hepplewhite feet.
