A George IV late Regency period mahogany gentleman's library writing table.
The six-drawer writing table has a black rectangular top above three drawers to the front and three to the reverse. The oak-lined drawers are mahogany fronted with the months of the year inscribed on bone plaques. The frieze has inset panels above crisply carved up-turned acanthus leaf decorated faceted tapered legs that stand on the original castors.
