A George IV 19th century pollard oak and yew wood book stand.
The book carrier is fitted with side carrying handles with a rectangular top surmounted by a balustraded gallery and solid turned spindles and scrolled supports above a fitted frieze drawer with cedar linings and the original turned handles. The book carrier stands on the original turned bun feet and has a maker's impressed mark to the underside: 'R.Hind'.
