The writing top retains a green gilt tooled leather and is cross banded in mahogany and fitted with end support ebony and brass strung galleries above boxwood inlaid edging. The inlaid frieze is adorned with gilt brass mounts to a central panel and is repeated on all four sides. To the front of the centre table are three concealed drawers with matching inlays to the reverse. The top sits above four ring turned and tapered supports that sit on an inlaid mahogany plinth and raised on four out swepted and inlaid legs and terminate on the original hairy brass paw castors and caps.
