George III Sheraton Period 18th Century Mahogany Inlaid Tea Chest

The cross banded top is inlaid with a large shell motif and opens to reveal two inlaid tea chests. The “B” for black tea and the “G” for green tea are elaborately marked. The front of the caddy is inlaid with flowers and a central ribbon with inlaid capitols on the canted corners. The tea caddy is in excellent original condition.
