George III Inlaid Hexagonal Tea Caddy

George III 18th century Sheraton period satinwood inlaid hexagonal tea caddy
The hexagonal-shaped top with satinwood crossbanding has a centre oval panel inlaid with fiddleback mahogany crossbanded and centred with an 'axe head' handle. The top opens to reveal the original inlaid lid with the tea caddy retaining the original tin lining. The top frieze has stained sycamore and satinwood inserts. The panels have oval shaped burr mulberry inserts above a rosewood and harewood crossbanded base.
