George III Chinese style Chippendale Period Mahogany Kneehole Chest

George III Chinese style Chippendale Period Mahogany Kneehole Chest

English

circa 1755 - 1765

The carved lattice fret work to the frieze of the figured grain solid mahogany top is great quality. The top with its canted corners and matching lattice fret work sides are complimented by full length oak lined drawers, with crisply carved blind fret work spandrels to the knee hole cupboard. The chest carriers the original brasses, locks and sits on the original ogee bracket on concealed castors. A stunningly original piece of 18th century English antique furniture.
