George III 18th Century Hepplewhite Period Inlaid Mahogany Serpentine Chest of Drawers of Grand Scale

The mahogany serpentine shaped top is cross-banded with kingwood and boxwood stringing with the top drawer being fitted with the original brushing slide. The four long graduated drawers are oak lined and fitted with the original gilt-brass ring pull handles. The boxwood stringing and kingwood cross banding to the canted corners sit above a figured mahogany base with a shaped moulded edge on elegant out-stepped bracket feet.

Condition

The commode retains excellent colour, patina and a warm lustre.
