A George III 18th century Hepplewhite period inlaid mahogany serpentine chest of drawers of grand scale.
The mahogany serpentine shaped top is cross-banded with kingwood and boxwood stringing with the top drawer being fitted with the original brushing slide. The four long graduated drawers are oak-lined and fitted with the original gilt-brass ring pull handles. The boxwood stringing and kingwood cross-banding to the canted corners sit above a figured mahogany base with a shaped moulded edge on elegant out-stepped bracket feet.
The commode retains excellent colour, patina and a warm lustre.
