Flamed Mahogany Wine Cellaret

Flamed Mahogany Wine Cellaret

circa 1826 - 1836

George IV early 19th century Regency period flamed mahogany wine casket cellaret. The figured mahogany top is surmounted on a moulded rectangular lid and has the added benefit of being flat. The caddy top to the sarcophagus shaped cellaret is tidy and neat and sits above a well figured mahogany front. The back and sides are plainly veneered in mahogany and the lid opens to reveal mahogany divisions for wine bottles. The cellaret is raised on solid turned and scrolled feet with concealed castors. The feet to the rear are plain fronted unlike the decorated front feet.
