A fine and rare Regency extending dining table by Gillow of Lancaster.
The well figured top composed of two 'D' shaped ends each housing the telescopic action that allows the table to be used at varying lengths. The table supported on ten turned tapering and reeded legs with brass castors to the bottom.
The dining table is 12ft in length 4ft 6in wide
Furniture at Temple Newsam House and Lotherton Hall by C. Gilbert, illustrates a similar table made by the renowned firm of Gillows of Lancaster.
