The Tunbridge ware sewing box is veneered in rosewood with a parquetry specimen top and a border of geometric tessellated inlays around the top, front, back and sides of the box. The sewing box stands on four turned and inlaid bun feet.

The interior lid is lined with beautiful blue paper with a turned rosewood moulding around the edge. The removable tray has its original blue paper silk lid, pin cushion and tray lid. It also comes with several Tunbridge ware pieces such as stick ware pin cushion, Tunbridge tape, Tunbridge pin cushion and Tunbridge waxer.
