The rosewood top is fitted with a brass gallery above three graduated book shelves with faux leather book dividers and book compartments lined with mottled paper. The top two tiers swivel independently and move in either direction whilst the bottom tier is fixed, and each section is fitted with a gilt brass moulding above a gilded simulated rosewood pedestal base. The rosewood triform plinth base is fitted with a gilt brass moulding above gilded scrolled feet and concealed brass castors.
