A handsome pair of George III 18th century mahogany side chairs.
The pair of side chairs are in excellent condition with lots of detail to the top rail with scrolled ears and a concave top supported on a central tapered open carved fret back. The side chairs are made with stuff-over seats with mahogany frames and carved spandrels. The carved spandrels that support the legs are carved crisply with 'C' scrolls to each end and sit above applied mouldings to the front tapered and back outstretched legs. The legs to the side chairs are supported on an 'H' frame and terminate on block feet.
The chairs have been recently reupholstered with a gold damask patterned fabric and are in excellent original condition.
