England
circa 1825
Made to be freestanding, the cabinet is of the very highest quality, with exquisite carving and cabinet work and the use of the very best materials. The top, with its original Brass gallery, sits above a pair of panelled doors, wonderfully embellished with a pair of fine Corinthian columns, which open to reveal a fully fitted interior of variously sized baized-lined drawers. Retaining a rich colour, the cabinet would have adorned one of the great houses of the day.
