Rare Regency period early 19th century oval shaped rosewood jardinière or wine cooler.

The oval shaped metal cannister can be used for flowers or indeed cooling wine. The metal container that sits in the top of the rosewood basket is decorated with a solid rosewood gadrooned moulding above shaped and curved slats that create the body of the basket.

The solid rosewood reeded pedestal that supports the top is flanked with large scrolled supports that stand on a gadrooned rosewood oval plinth base. The oval plinth base stands on its original castors.
