Fine George III Chippendale period mahogany urn stand.
The figured mahogany square top retains a warm colour, good grain and patina. The shallow frieze is lively and is fitted with a pull-out stand that retains the original 'axe-head' handle.
The stand is raised on four finely tapered mahogany legs that terminate on block feet.
