Early 18th century George I period walnut chest of drawers.
The quarter veneered rectangular top with cross-grained thumb nail moulded edge and feather banding, above a pull out brushing slide and applied brass knob handles.
The four long graduated, oak lined, drawers are fitted with the original gilt brass plate handles. The graduated drawer fronts are feather banded and crossbanded and sit above a cross-grained moulded thumb nail base. The base is supported on burr walnut veneered shaped bracket feet.
The walnut chest is of small elegant size, well drawn and retaining lustre, patina and colour.
