Early 18th century Italian mirror.
A substantially carved giltwood mirror in the Italian rococo form. The later Victorian oval mirror plate is mounted on a bevelled rim.
The gilt carved mirror is grand in scale and retains its original back boards.
The gilt gesso frame is in excellent condition because of the scale of carving. The frame retains a lot of the original gesso and gilding.
