George II Period Cuban Mahogany Bureau

The mahogany top above a well figured bureau fall that opens on to oak drawn and mahogany fronted lopers that support a green baize writing surface. The interior is fitted with a complete bank of secretaire drawers of various widths that retain the original ring pulled gilt brass handles.

The bureau base is made with two short and two long drawers that retain the original gilt brass drop handles surmounted on shaped back plates. The oak lined drawers retain the original locks and escutcheons and all the full length drawers run smoothly.

The Cuban mahogany bureau is raised on a solid moulding and bracket feet with an elegant scale and been well drawn.
