An Early 18th Century Walnut Lowboy
The rectangular top is quarter veneered, cross banded with a vertical cut veneer and feather banded, with a thumb nail moulded edge. The oak lined dovetailed drawers with feather banded and walnut fronts are fitted with the original gilt brass tear drop handles adorned on the original etched 'Tudor Rose' back plates.
The short centre drawer is flanked with two deep drawers with outlined walnut mouldings above a scrolling lower apron centred on a dome shaped arch. The Queen Anne table retains a good depth of patination and colour.
The lowboy is petite and well drawn and raised on shell decorated cabriole legs that terminate on elegant pad feet.
