Small George III 18th Century Period Kneehole Mahogany Bureau

England
1770
The faded mahogany fall opens to reveal a bank of inlaid drawers flanked by pigeon holes above a baized writing surface. The flamed mahogany kneehole bureau is arranged with one long and six short oak lined drawers which retain brass rococo handles and have escutcheons that are not original. The bureau sits on a solid mahogany plinth above unusual scrolled bracket feet to the front and back which stand on the original leather barrel shaped castors.
