The rectangular top is veneered with well figured Indian rosewood cross-banded with satinwood, tulip, boxwood, brown ebony and black ebony stringing. The frieze drawers are arranged with faux/dummy drawers and opposing full length mahogany-lined drawers and carry the original brass handles, locks and escutcheons. The table has trestle end supports with Greek key stringing and is inlaid with satinwood panels. The end supports sit into a boxwood strung knee with out-swept satinwood and boxwood inlaid legs and brass capped castors.
