The rectangular top with canted corners is veneered with well figured Indian rosewood cross-banded and inlaid with a boxwood parquetry and brown ebony "Greek Key Motif" with satinwood, boxwood and ebony stringing. The frieze drawers are arranged with faux/dummy drawers and opposing full length mahogany-lined drawers and carry the original brass handles, locks and ivory escutcheons. The table has trestle end supports with "Greek Key" stringing and out-swept inlaid legs and stands on the original gilt brass paw feet castors.
