A superb and rare 18th century carved rosewood triple back chair settee of Anglo-Portuguese origin. The triple crest rail beautifully carved with acanthus leaf and bells above a pierced back centred by a lattice panel, which has a centre carving and solid rosewood vertical rails and out-swept arms. The drop in seat is covered with a pink rosewood damask with a highly figured carved frieze, above four shaped crisply carved ball & claw feet with four solid out-swept back legs.
