The rosewood veneered rectangular top has a cross-banded edge and a well-figured rosewood frieze above three open-fronted 'Gothic Style' arches that have been decorated with gothic clusters. The rosewood veneered fronts to the adjustable shelves are all original. The dwarf bookcase stands on a shallow bevelled plinth base.
