Early 19th Century Regency Period Penwork Tea Caddy

The penwork single tea caddy is decorated with naive painted chinoiserie scenes. The front bears a family crest with the latin phrase "Lucem Dat Que Salutem" which translates as "Light That Gives Safety". The interior has a penwork decorated single lid with a turned bone handle and retains traces of the original lining. It has a fully working lock and key.
