The caddy top with a walnut oval insert with a brass handle is surrounded by barber stringing and mahogany. The outer inlays are multiple in style ranging from herring bone, cross-banding and stringing with a brown ebony banding. The tea caddy opens to reveal its original lid and lining. The hexagonal sides with oval shaped black oyster veneers are surrounded by barber stringing, mahogany panels and the same multiple inlays as the top,
