The mahogany crossbanded cornice sits above two astragal glazed doors. The display cabinet is fitted with three adjustable shelves and sits on a low waisted cupboard base. The flame figured mahogany panel doors with thumbnail mouldings stand on elegant 'French' style bracket feet.

The display cabinet was once owned by Frederick Donald Coggan, Baron Coggan PC who was the 101st Archbishop of Canterbury from 1974 to 1980. He died on 17 May 2000.
